James' understanding of the benefits of hot yoga comes from a fitness standpoint mainly from training for a 1200 km bicycle trip through the Himalayan mountains where he would have to climb passes as high as 5,200 meters and ride as much as 100 km per day. Training at sea level in Shanghai alone could never have prepared him for the punishment a ride like this would put on his body. James is confident that his daily hot yoga practice was a key factor in strengthening his core, building his endurance and adding to his overall cardiovascular state which helped him complete every inch of the grueling ride. Since then, James has come to believe that a consistent hot yoga practice can reverse aging, be a key to weight management, as well as, aid in the recovery of all types of physical injuries.
